Where the Wild Things are.
It seems that at the moment my life is all about Animal rights... I mean i've ALWAYS believedin animals righta and been more a fan of animals that people but i haven't been as up
in your grill about it as i am now. I think it's beacuse people disrespect for animals and wildlife is growing. people are loving money more than Animals, I can't imagine hurting ananimal for any amount of cash! and i LOVE cash!
So there is a circus that has come to town and they have a few asian Elephants and while i did go up and look at them at the fence and feed them some grass i know that they don't belong there and i absolutely abhor that they are being made do stupid stunts and dances to make a cheap buck! it's Degrading to make this huge wonderful animal prance around like some idiot human. it's not natural and it's not right. Sadly we saw the two of the Ellies ae also prergnant, heavily pregnant. 2 more Elephants who will never know what a real elephant is. They being Elephants themselves will NEVER know how an elephant behaves in the wild. they will only know silly tricks, noisy music and crowds of people screaming and chanting while they climb upon each other.
Having seen Elephants in the wild it breaks my heart to see pictures of them being degraded!

Rhino Survival Trust?
Many people who know me know that i absolutely Love Animals and that this Rhino Poaching Issue is kinda a big deal to me.
I've looked at loads of differnet charities and funds that are being made to raise money for the Rhino and also to protect them.
One that has come up in the Group on facebook O.S.C.A.P is the Rhino Survival trust. unfortunately there is nothing about the Trust that i well... TRUST.
to try and ease my scepticism i have gone to look at their actual website...that just made me more sceptical.
first thing's first... one of their little slogans mentions a sustainable solution. you may think.. hmmmm sustaining the Rhino, that's not a bad thing. You're right! it's not a bad thing. If only they were talking about the Rhino.
They are talking about a sustainable solution to the increasing demand for Rhino Horn. What they want to do is Legalise The trade of Rhino horn, De-horn the Rhino and sell the horn.
now if you ask me, i say to hell with the demand of Rhino horn!! who the hell are we, they, whoever to treat rhino as some kind of comodity. we should not be trying to find a way to still get the rhino horn without Killing Rhino. We should be finding a way to Catch the Monsters Killing our Rhino and to Educate the rest of the idiots who actually think that is has some medicinal purpose!
That is the problem with us humans! we go into a place where other living things have been for centuries and suddenly we think we can do whatever we want to them!
back to the Trust. personally, from looking at their management etc i get the feeling that the trust is being set up for the sole purpose of one day trading the horn.
they intend on buying a farm from John Hume... already my spidey senses were tingling!. Although Hume has other businesses which was pointed out to me... I know of him most because of hunting and De-horning of Rhinos. Not for his fruit farms. so it really is starting to look to me more like a money venture that anything else.
Management and bank acounts are all offshore, I questioned one of the spokespersons for the trust about this and was told that the reason for this was because the Biggerst investor had moved to Mauritius (where the accounts are) his daughter then married a very wealthy chap who has a very well known family there.. (he's a prince... I'mma just put that out there) and the daughter (Most likely actually the Price Husband) is helping her father with the trust.
While this is all very moving... awww family business look at them trying to save the rhino as a family... awww... blubber. i still find it suspect,
i'm almost sure that the Investor moved to Mauritius before the trust was started... i could be wrong about this but that's what it seems like to me... the Trust is a New thing, from what i can tell only started last year, so i doubt that they invested in the trust, moved to mauritius and then had a royal wedding all between the start of the trust and now. Like i say i could be wrong, that part is purely based on opinion...
as for management... they are dealing with a company called Sinews Global LTD. when i looked into this company i saw that they had a lot of tax benifits as well as being protected by LAW with confidentiality... something to hide?? they also Boast " an extensive array of tax treaties with other countries, an advantageous tax regime, and no foreign exchange controls." sounds to me like Someone intends to do Quite an amount of trading! it also then goes to talk about strong links to Europe, India, China and Africa. ding ding ding... seriously people... ALARM BELLS!
it seems to me that this trust is more a Survival trust for them funded by Rhino rather Than a Survival Trust Funded By them FOR the Rhino. again... opinion.
Anyway... i like to get my thoughts out there before i forget them or go crazy, If anyone wants to Donate to the cause... PLEASE check out who you are dealing with before you give them any money.

Not starting over
So fir a while i haven't really blogged at all cuz i changed my email address after the one got hacked and i just didn't wanna start a new one all over again... GAY! but now i've been able to import the old posts to here.. Happy days!
So lemme think about all that's happened...
About 2 months ago i was called as the RS president... AAAAAAH!
I've applied to do Music, Sound and engineering at college. I had my interview on thursday and i will find out the day after tomorrow if i get in. I don't know how i'll deal with not getting it.... Just saying.
But i think if i don't, i'll wait for my Irish passport and then Feck off to England. i think i'd like that. If i could go to Utah then i would but... yeah. aaaaah
I just don't wanna think about not getting it. soi'mma stop now.
Mark started School On thursday. he looked so cute and handsome in his little Uniform. i can't believe he's getting so big.. SCHOOOL LIKE!! Crazy
ummm... i can't really think of any other news... so on that note...

Fate!
So yesterday i decided to put the rest of the music i had on cd's onto my iPod finally found my "louder Now" Album by Takinc Back Sunday and because of that decided to watch some of thier music videos on youtube when BAM! to my surprise, there at the bottom right hand corner of the screen it said that they would be in dublin 21 days from now.
Well, I almost wet myself with excitement... this is no Exaggeration i tell you!
i have honestly not slept for over 30 hours now because i am that excited...
so in my dillerium i went online, Broke ass Me, and booked 2 tickets. Leaving me with 3 euro in my bank account... but it really doesn't matter to me.
Music matters to me. it's probably the only thing in life that has consistantly made me happy! so i feel like if i gotta pay a few hundred euro to be happy... i will.
I'm so excited for my ticket to arrive!! I may have a heart attack when it does!!

The Last Wee while.
Hmmm... well I've been called as the RS President... FREAKED!
I signed up to a gym... it's whipping my ass at the moment!! but i think i'll get used to it.
one more month and I go to YSA conference! so i'm excited for that! and then a few weeks after that i will be going to South Africa!! Even more Excited for that!! YAY!!
it's gonna be amaaaazing!
Also i've got a few ideas floating around in my head... ideas for things to do for the rest of forever...
anyhoo..... i'll try and be more active on this thing now...

Chocolate Ganache and Caramel cream cake.
So i decided to try a cake Using a Ganache as Frosting, just for the sake of learning something new.
True to myself and my hate for recipes i didn't follow everything completely...but that's why it's fun right?
Ingredients.
CARAMEL CREAM
1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream
half a tin of coronation caramel
Preparation
Ganache
First of all... i made the mistake of not looking at the prep instructions before deciding on the recipe... so the ganache is actually supposed to be done WEL in advance... preferably the night before!!!
But the preparation is pretty easy....
1. Break up the chocolate into a large bowl
2. Bring the cream to a simmer in a pot
3. Pour the cream over the chocolate and let it start to soften for about a minute.
4. after the minute stir the chocolate and cream together... (this is where he i added the extra caramel)
Caramel cream
1.Whip up the cream until almost stiff (add sugar if needed)
2. whip in the caramel... to taste... so add more until it tastes good and caramelly
A tip... don't eat pure caramel before you taste the caramel cream... cuz then you gotta get someone to taste it for you cuz it tastes real bland after the pure caramel :)

isn’t it funny how Lyrics stick in your head?
I don’t mean that in a “oh wow.. Powerful words” kinda way…
just that i’ve noticed lately that even songs that you haven’t heard in ages, as soon as you hear them again the lyrics just pop into your head… or mine anyway….
or a simple word can spring up a whole song that you haven’t heard in forever….Random…. anyhoo;…. this song just reminded me cuz i hadn’t listened to it in like a few years and when my Little brother played it in the car the words just popped into my head again…

the most Productive 2 hours.
So i woke up today at 13:00... I know right... i have no idea how i sleep so much!!!
Anyhoo... sat around for like 30 mins and then went to was me hair cuz it was full of hair spray and i
was hoping to get it cut today... so i washed it, Tied it up in a bun and headed out... went to the petshop for like 10 mins then down to the hair dressers to see if they could fit me in... they could!
so i sat for like 20 minutes and then got my hair cut... i was kinda like.. uuugh about cutting it ... cuz it was like 44 euro... anyway i untied my hair.. it was still soaking wet... Score! so she didn't wash it and got straight to the cutting! just got it layered and my fringe done again.. not much lenght take off at all..
so as i was about to pay... they don't take card... so i run across the road to draw some cash... i get back to pay and because it was already wet and didn't have it blow dried... instead of 44 euro i paid... FIFTEEN... yup! :) SCORE..
so then i walked home... and waited for my parents to get home cuz i didn't bring my keys...
by 14:59 i was already chillaxing in the house...
Like i said.. productive eh?

to, too, then, than!
Although i have Probably failed Miserably at it, Whenever i write large paragraphs of whatever... i like to think i do it with some kind of grammatical finesse... if that's even something people say?!
Anyway... i hate reading things that are like the rednecks of the grammar society... I die a little inside when someone Uses then and than wrong... and although i know what they meant.. i just can't force my mind to read it they way they meant... i have to look away from the screen and repeat the sentence in my head the way it's supposed to sound...
or people using to and too wrong... it makes me go crazy... i mean i don't mind the odd little grammatical error.... but if you really really can't grasp this whole english thing... well... maybe you should limit your writing to txtn ur 4rends hu dnt mnd readin ur crap?! right?
another thing that drives me over the bend is... people writing "could / should/ would (etc) of" instead of could have.... Hello.... Does the phrase "could of" even make sense to you?
haha i'm just having me a little rant.. what's new right?!

Country??
I just realised something right now.....
if people ask i always say i don't like country music... But when i think about it... i think i just don't like certain country stuff... cuz i was listening to music on youtube... and i went through Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Uncle Cracker, Lee Ann Rimes, The Band Perry, and some other Random country artists.. and i was like... "am i in a particularly country mood today?" but then i relised it's not just today that i'm listening to them... and i remember My Shania Twain age... haha when my Parents bought her albums i was a little obsessed.....
so i guess what i'm saying is... i just found out i don't dislike country as much i told myself i did... hahaha

"am i in a particularly country mood today?" but then i relised it's not just today that i'm listening to them... and i remember My Shania Twain age... haha when my Parents bought her albums i was a little obsessed.....

Whoa... so i went a while again without doing this but i figured it was better than just complaining about cork all the time lol....
so Christmas was good... Besides the damn stomach bug that i had for all of christmas day. I got a Stereo that works with my ipod from My parents... And flipping yay it has a remote.. so i don't have to get outta bed to put my music on... Ok that saounds really lazy but honestly.. it's easier to get outta bed when there's already music playing! Also.. I bough a new laptop YAY.. it's been a long time coming that's for freakin sure!
Tomorrow i'm going up to dublin for 10 days! gonna stay With The wonderful Katja until she goes to australia. her than that nothing really new has happened here... i could complain about what a suckish place is

Christmaaas!
So I'm Kinda Getting in the Christmas Spirit now.... Kinda... Still Feeling like a little bit of a scrooge though haha...
But yesterday I went Toy Shopping with Colin and Got Some Stuff for Little Spud and Niamh and so i'm in the Gift Buying mood now.... and the Cooking Loooads of Food mood! :) i Just wanna cook everything all the time.
I've been making alot of soup and stuff.. But i wanna bake some crap too!! :D
And ... Last Night My wee Brother moved out... Aw bless he's getting big! Although the little Fecker Did come home to night and Steal Some Plastic ware to take his lunch to work tomorrow in¬ haha But yeah!....
So tomorrow is another day of Christmas shopping With Mom and Travice.... I actually have no idea what to get some people¬ haha and then others i know exactly what to get... Like i'm gonna get Gavin the X Box Kinect... and i'm gonna make him let me play it at least once¬ hahahahaha And i think i know what to get Brendan...
But that's where it ends... Also i'm Gonna Buy Myself Some Nice Kitchen Knives for Christmas!! Yes Yes!! it's a good Idea.... and then it's SAVIIING time so i can Blow this popsickle Stand and getoutta here:D :D Even Bigger YES YES¬
My Typing is Kinda Effy right now cuz i'm getting used to my old computer again... weird how easily you get used to omething else and then have to restart again.. Grrr

Dotdotdot
So... I'm back in Ireland
It's awesome to be able to see my parents and Siblings... and I just Looooved the Cuddles and Kisses my spuddy boy gave me, And Niamh is so beautiful and Clever. She got so big and. At first she didn't know who i was.... Until i gave her some sweeties... then she was all about getting to know who i was and wanted to drool her Candy cane spit all over me!!! i Never Loved being Drooled on so much in my life!! :) She's So cute!!!!
But.. I woud be Lying if i said i wouldn't get on the next plane i was offered back to Utah... lol
The Cold is awesome though!! I love how the roads are Iced Like Keraaaazy!!! :)

Bad hair day
Dear Blog, it's been a while eh?! lol
I was having a bad hair day today... Sad... haha
Aaaaah... So i have 3 days Left in Utah... Mega sadness right?!
It Sucks Major Butt... But it doesn't feel AS bad as i did when i didn't know if i was gonna be back here or not.
Buuuuut now i know fir shizzle that Poor Utah is Not rid of me for good... Sorry!
So i had alot of fun with the snow!! it's so awesome.. and White... and Cold!!... Although the cold part is the least of it's awesome Qualities! I took Smurf on a super long walk in it yesterday and today... And i got to feel all posh With my big Scarf and stuff haha...although i think my secret was out the moment i started giggling and Kicking snow at Smurf!! it's ok though.. she liked it.. I'm not mean! hahaha
But yeah.... i must have looked like a 3 year old Throwing snow and Giggling Uncontrollably! And what's worse is i had my iPod on Really loud... so i actually have no idea how loud i was actually laughing... I bet all them kids stuck in class were Jealous though... Secretly.... THey might have whispered "check the creep outside" but what they meant was "i wanna be her" haha For sure!
The Wise Mr. Jack Johnson once said "getting Lost is never a waste of time" so i'm gonna take the fact that i have to go back to cork as like.. Maybe there's something i have to do there Before i come back... Maybe that's it... Regardless... Christi Will be Back With a vengeance! and by "back with a Vengeance" i mean... "a Little Cooler than i already am.. if it's possible"
....Just sayin'
At least there's snoooow at home to further my Denial... :)

BLAAAAH
"blizzard" what blizzard?? Lol so there was no blizzard but there was snow and it was bloddy freezing today! I thought i had gotten frost bite after scraping solid ice from the car. But then nothing beats getting into the warm car and thawing out your fingers.
And on the drive to provo there was like a pond kinda and there were bijillions of ducks in it and the sun was shining :) from just looking outside you'd never have guessed that it was minus 5 degrees C. And the mountains were so freaking pretty... The way the snowy mountains reflected the orange sunlight as it was setting... This is why i like winter. Last winter in ireland was almost like that! With the exception of mountains of course... And ducks. And slightly more carnage on the road due to pure inexperience mixed with a couple of those "i can do it" drivers who thought ice was no match for their beast of a car..
But then home can be like a million places... Like what about people who move away from their families... Does that mean they're never home? So i'd like some clarification on this "heart" that the speak about. Cuz technically... That would make my home behind my ribs? Again with these metaphores.... I guess metaphores have a better ring that stuff that makes sense... And they're probably shorter too.... But take far longer to figure out... If you ever really figure them out.
I guess until i figure it out i'm still looking for "home"

Well my eyes are burning from focusing on the bright screen in the dark and me hands are annoyed at texting this much... Cuz i have to hold the phone up with my pinky... Lol

I must admit... I do love when nature turns nasty. I get all excited for blizzards and floods and lightning storms! Although the excitement dies at tornados... Probably cuz i tend to have these weird dreams about running from like 4 at a time... I can probably attribute that to far too much television and a wild imagination. Which would also probably explain my recent wave of "criminal minds" like dreams. Although they wouldn't be half as bad if Dr. Reid or SSA Hotchner would once in a while make an appearance those dreams... Haha. I'm such a creep.
One day and one week until i go back to ireland.
They say home is where the heart is. I guess that depends on the definition of "the heart" right... I mean if it's where the people you love are.. Then ireland is home for sure my home... But so is south africa then..
